This is my Andy Warhol art and the whole class done it We used dye for the frame to make it brown. we also dyed the background and we had a limit to how many colours we could use and the limit was 3. After that we used vivid to make the frame look like wood grain. then we got a picture of our self and got some acetate and traced our face and we painted our hair, clothes, lips, and eyes but not skin. Finally we stuck them all together. Have you ever done Andy Warhol art?
Hi Jolan, thats cool art, did you enjoy making it? What was the best part?
ReplyDeleteKia ora Jolan,
ReplyDeleteWell done on creating such a fantastic piece of Andy Warhol art!
Andy Warhole is a fantastic artist who has created some amazing artworks in his time. I can remember looking at his work when I was in primary school, and specifically remember his pop art image of Marilyn Monroe painted in bright, vibrant colours. It was this piece of art which first came into mind when I saw the piece you have created. Like Andy’s, your painting has the outline of a face surrounded by bright colours.
I really like the way you focused on using a limited amount of colours, and think it was such a clever idea to have left the skin unpainted, and the background show through.
How did you choose which three colours you would use in your artwork?
What made you decide to incorporate swirls into your background?
Was it difficult to trace your face onto your artwork?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
You mentioned how you used dye for the frame, and then used a vivid to draw around the frame and make it look like wood grain. This was such a clever, well executed idea, and you should be very proud of your efforts.
Keep up the great work!
